Update: Essential Services & Vehicle Maintenance.

While Farmer Autovillage is closed during the lockdown, our team are still standing by to assist you in certain circumstances. Below is important information that will help with any questions that you might have during this time. If your vehicle has broken down and it is in an emergency please call your vehicles emergency line (located on the sticker on your window screen).

We are allowed to repair any vehicle being used for an essential service. This includes essential worker’s vehicles but also private vehicles that are required to be used over this period (for example: to travel for groceries or medical supplies). This could be tyres/batteries/warning lights/brakes etc.

Servicing & Maintenance Work
We are not allowed to carry out service or preventive maintenance work – unless not doing so would impact on the safety and reliability of your vehicle. We consider this to be the point where your vehicle is 4,000 kms over the recommended service interval. We will reivew enquiries on a case by case basis and / or  recommend this work be postponed until Level Four is lifted.

Pre-book your service, repairs or Warrant of Fitness
We are currently accepting online service bookings from Tuesday, April 28th onwards. You can do this anytime, from the comfort of your home – scroll below and select your brand to start your online booking. We will communicate any booking updates should this date need to change.

Windscreen repairs or replacements
We can also help prepare your insurance claims for windscreen repairs or replacements during time.  Visit our windscreen page to request a call back and our team will get in touch.

Warrant of Fitness
NZTA consider all WOF’s to be valid currently, meaning no fines will be issued. They still require drivers to ensure vehicles are safe to be driven so a basic safety check should be completed regularly by the driver (tyre pressures and tyre tread depths, ensure lights and indicators are working etc). We are under instructions that no WOF work is to be completed at this time.

Contactless Servicing
We are strictly adhering to the Government Level Four protocols. Our team will use gloves and masks when working on any vehicle and will sanitise vehicle touch points before and after repair.  Vehicle drop off, pickup and payment will need to be fully contactless which we can help facilitate.

Our services during this time are by appointment only and there is no additional charge.

Kia ora to all our valued friends of Farmer Autovillage

On behalf of our entire team, we want to assure you the steps we are taking at Farmer Autovillage to make an absolute priority the collective health and safety of our customers and team.

Whilst we have always taken great pride in the clean and hygienic nature of our facilities, we have, with the advice of health experts and the ministry of health have taken the following measures to minimize risk.

  • Our team are receiving ongoing briefings and enhanced operational hygiene standards
  •  We have significantly increased the frequency of sterilization of all front-line facilities including all bathrooms, café areas, door handles, stair rails etc
  • We have made available hand sanitizers in all areas with automatic “touchless” dispensers
  • We have made clear around the dealership “best practices” regarding personal hygiene behaviors and constantly monitoring that these are being adhered to
  • We have also changed the frequency of air conditioning filter servicing from 3 monthly to monthly.
  • Adopted a sterile internal wipe down policy after your vehicle has been serviced.

We, with other businesses, will be guided by the recommendations provided by the ministry of health and will rigorously implement all that is advised to provide the safest environment for our customers and team.

If you don’t get a chance to come in and see us at the village remember that all our vehicle stock is online on our brand new website, where you can also book a service all from the convenience of your keyboard or smartphone, we can also bring a vehicle to your home or workplace for an appraisal if that suits you better, as nothing is a problem.

Rest assured that as circumstances develop, we make an absolute commitment to you to provide the best environment to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers and team always.
