Essential Services & Vehicle Maintenance.
While Farmer Autovillage is closed during the lockdown, our team are still standing by to assist you in certain circumstances. Below is important information that will help with any questions that you might have during this time. If your vehicle has broken down and it is in an emergency please call your vehicles emergency line (located on the sticker on your window screen).
Repairs
We are allowed to repair any vehicle being used for an essential service. This includes essential worker’s vehicles but also private vehicles that are required to be used over this period (for example: to travel for groceries or medical supplies). This could be tyres/batteries/warning lights/brakes etc.
Servicing & Maintenance Work
We are not allowed to carry out service or preventive maintenance work – unless not doing so would impact on the safety and reliability of your vehicle. We consider this to be the point where your vehicle is 4,000 kms over the recommended service interval. We will reivew enquiries on a case by case basis and / or recommend this work be postponed until Level Four is lifted.
Pre-book your service, repairs or Warrant of Fitness
We are currently accepting online service bookings from Tuesday, April 28th onwards. You can do this anytime, from the comfort of your home – scroll below and select your brand to start your online booking. We will communicate any booking updates should this date need to change.
Windscreen repairs or replacements
We can also help prepare your insurance claims for windscreen repairs or replacements during time. Visit our windscreen page to request a call back and our team will get in touch.
Warrant of Fitness
NZTA consider all WOF’s to be valid currently, meaning no fines will be issued. They still require drivers to ensure vehicles are safe to be driven so a basic safety check should be completed regularly by the driver (tyre pressures and tyre tread depths, ensure lights and indicators are working etc). We are under instructions that no WOF work is to be completed at this time.
Contactless Servicing
We are strictly adhering to the Government Level Four protocols. Our team will use gloves and masks when working on any vehicle and will sanitise vehicle touch points before and after repair. Vehicle drop off, pickup and payment will need to be fully contactless which we can help facilitate.
Our services during this time are by appointment only and there is no additional charge.
