Clean Car Discount.
The New Zealand government announced the Clean Car Discount, making it more affordable to own an Electric Vehicle. Rebates will now be available for new and used Battery Electric Vehicles (EV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) valued at $80,000 or less, with a 3-star safety rating or above.

Subaru Corporation has announced Subaru’s all-new, electric SUV – the SOLTERRA. Subaru of New Zealand’s Managing Director Wallis Dumper says “We are thrilled that Subaru has announced its first electric vehicle, however we are still in discussions with Subaru Corporation about availabilty for the New Zealand market. Future electric vehicle projects form part of ongoing dialogue between Subaru of New Zealand and the factory. The SOLTERRA news will no doubt excite many of our customers who are looking forward to owning a Subaru electric vehicle, however currently there is no timeline to share.”
